Abstract:

Human sensing is important in human daily life especially in medical and 
security area. It is easy to sense the human posture and movement by 
camera and wearable device. However, too much camera may cause 
psychological effect to human. Also, wearable devices have many 
limitations such as the connecting stability, battery and comfortably to 
the user. Therefore, we would like to propose another human sensing system 
which is using visible light communication(VLC) technology that can sense 
human without a camera and any wearable device on human body.

This thesis mainly consists of 2 parts: One is the analysis of some 
existing method. Another is the system we propose. The final purpose of 
the thesis is to find out the most feasible method of using VLC to achieve 
human posture sensing.
