Abstract:

Dr. Po Chi Wu is an Innovation Evangelist, an investor in Human Capital,
and author, most recently of "Agile Innovation: The Revolutionary Approach
to Accelerate Success, Inspire Engagement, and Ignite Creativity" (Wiley &
Sons 2014). Having been an international venture capitalist and
entrepreneur based in Silicon Valley for more than 30 years, he will share
unique insights and perspectives on the challenge of creating successful
businesses. In this talk, he will discuss principles, priorities, and
high-tech vs low-tech differentiators, and contrast perspectives from
customers, VCs, entrepreneurs, and ecosystems.

Biography:

Dr. Wu is currently an Industry Fellow, affiliated with the Sutardja Center 
for Entrepreneurship & Technology at the University of California, 
Berkeley. In this role, he teaches and mentors aspiring entrepreneurs, 
especially those trained in science and engineering. Passionate about 
sharing the experience of the entrepreneurial mindset, he believes that 
"training an intelligent intuition" and "structured mentoring" are 
essential elements in business leadership that are often misunderstood and 
undervalued. Dr. Wu is also an Adjunct Professor in the School of Business 
and Management at The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology 
(HKUST), where he teaches short courses on innovation and entrepreneurship. 
Dr. Wu holds a PhD from Princeton University and a BA from the University 
of California at Berkeley.
