About the Talk:

In this talk, Tony will share his insights in Data Science & AI, and his entrepreneurship journey in starting Yimian Data right after he graduated from HKUST.

He will also offer practical tips and advice on making business plans, raising funds from investors and how to manage a team.

Speaker:

Dr. Tony Ren is the founder and CEO of Yimian, a data science startup company in China, recently acquired by Ascential plc (LON:ASCL). He received B.Eng, MPhil and Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from HKUST. Tony has worked for Tencent Inc, National Institute of Informatics Japan, Huawei Noah's Ark AI Laboratory Hong Kong as researcher and developer in data technology. Before founding Yimian, He was the head of the machine learning division in QVOD (Kuaibo) Technology.
