Title: Build YouTube on the Blockchain: Entrepreneurship Experience Sharing by Co-founder of Lino Network
Speaker: Dr. CHEN Qifeng, Assistant Professor, CSE HKUST and Co-founder, Lino Network

Abstract:

Lino was co-founded by Stanford and Berkeley alumni in July 2017. We raised $20 million from top investors to build YouTube on the blockchain. We have 30 full-time employees in Silicon Valley. Currently, our decentralized live streaming platform has more than half a million monthly active users, and the Lino blockchain is released and under testing.

As a co-founder of Lino, I will share my experience in founding and running a startup. How did we find co-founders for a startup? How did we identify an area with emerging technologies for running a startup? How did we raise funding from venture capital at the right time? How did we recruit employees and develop products?
