Abstract:

Research on Future internet has started around the world. Much of the
research is focused on the First Billion, the current Internet users of
the developed countries.  Complimentary effort on the research for The
Other Billions, people without the Internet access, in particular among
developing countries is also very important.  This could provide good
research opportunity for many researchers around the world, both from the
developing and developed countries.

Biography:

Prof. Kilnam Chon is a Professor Emeritus at KAIST and a Professor at Keio
University. He received Ph.D in Computer Science at UCLA in 1974 and B.S.
in Engineering Science, Osaka University in 1965. He has been a Professor
in the Computer Science Division at KAIST from 1982. Before that he was a
Principal Investigator, ETRI (formerly KIET) in Korea. His main research
area is System Engineering.
