Michelle Man is an experienced CT who is now helping CSE PG and PPOL PG students. She is passionate about teaching and interacting with students on various areas e.g. conference papers, theses, CVs, presentation skills, etc. Her teaching career started in 1999 in preparation for the Government funded Workplace English Campaign courses launched in 2000 at institutions such as YMCA and HKMA. She has been examiner for public exams such as Pitman.
She has applied her knowledge in English education not only to teaching but also to the commercial sector. She is currently an English consultant for international companies involved in e.g. solar power, AC/DC generator projects. She had also launched the Corporate English Language program and Englishtown website, set up an agency system, edited and published marketing material and overlooked the Corporate English syllabus for EF Education.
Prior to teaching she had an extensive career in corporate sales where she managed over 1,000 corporate accounts from different industries thus giving her great insight into the corporate world and maintaining a network of contacts which benefits students when she reviews CVs, cover letter, etc.
With her international education background and upbringing, Michelle is native in English and Dutch while she possesses a good command in spoken Cantonese.
