Welcome to HKUST

The HKUST WACM, founded in the year of 2015 with the support from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, is HKUST's student chapter of the ACM-W (Association for Computing Machinery Council on Women in Computing). The mission statement of ACM-W is as follows: "ACM-W supports, celebrates, and advocates internationally for the full engagement of women in all aspects of the computing field, providing a wide range of programs and services to ACM members and working in the larger community to advance the contributions of technical women".

As an ACM-W student chapter, WACM provides a supporting network for women students at the CSE department, at the university, and in the larger Computing community. WACM is also part of the ACM student chapter program. In particular, we are part of SACM, the ACM student chapter at HKUST.
