Job Description:
Position Summary
LSCM is looking for an engineer with a background in signal processing or applied engineering mathematics to join a team developing a variety of state of the art technologies for local industries to improve the quality of life in Hong Kong.
Responsibilities
The applicant will support the R&D aims of the centre and will be responsible for the following:
- Writing software for data acquisition and processing for robotic/AI applications;
- Carrying out experiments and supporting field trials;
- Evaluating and assessing different technology options; and
- Other engineering assignments as appropriate;
The research covers a wide range of applications with a particular focus on signal processing, beamforming and information engineering. The position would suit an engineer with a good understanding of engineering mathematics.
Job Requirements:
Requirements
Successful applicants should have:
- Undergraduate Degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics or related disciplines;
- Relevant postgraduate study or industry experience would be advantageous;
- Good understanding of signal processing techniques (for example, digital filters, Fourier analysis, and beamforming etc.);
- Experience of applying engineering mathematics to real world situations will be an advantage;
- Familiarity with MATLAB or Python;
- A passion for engineering and technology;
- Proactive, self-motivated and good communication skills (Cantonese and English); and
- Candidate with less experience may be considered as Assistant Engineer.
