CSE Alumni Family Homecoming Day

With the 25th anniversary of HKUST, the Department of Computer and Engineering (CSE) launches the Alumni Affairs Committee with the goal to build close ties between alumni and the department. With the collaboration from the CSE Alumni Association, the CSE Alumni Family Homecoming Day 2015 will be held on 22-Nov 2015 (Sun) for alumni, faculty, students and staff to mingle. Our department head, Prof. Qiang YANG will update alumni the latest development of HKUST and CSE. Family members of alumni are also encouraged to join "Hour of Code" sessions and BBQ dinner together.

Hour of Code Sessions
We will have three parallel sessions of hour of code in CSE Lab 1, Lab 3, and Lab 4 respectively. It will be conducted in English supplemented with Cantonese.
- CSE Lab 1 (Rm4221): Junior Scratch for children 6-10 who are new to Scratch;
- CSE Lab 3 (Rm4213): Advanced Scratch for children 8-12 who want to horn their Scratch skills to build more complex programs;
- CSE Lab 4 (Rm4210): Android Mobile App for children 12+, participants are encouraged to bring Android devices to the workshop (to try out their app immediately), and it's going to be fun!
We will require children to be accompanied by their parents in the sessions.
Sports Activities (Badminton)
Participants must:
- Wear sportswear and non-marking sports shoes
- Bring their own badminton rackets and shuttlecocks
