ACADEMIC BIOGRAPHY
Ron received his Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Computer Science from the Hong Kong University of Science and Engineering in 2007. He is now working as an Instructional Assistant of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
Ron is also a MPhil Candidate under the supervision of Prof. Andrew Horner. His research interest is Computer Music.
Before entering the University in 2005, Ron had been studying for his Diploma and Higher Diploma at HKIVE(Morrison Hill) and HKIVE(Chai Wan) respectively for several years.
MUSICAL BIOGRAPHY
Ron is a multi-instrumentalist who has been playing music for 10 years. He first started learning guitar by himself at the age of 14. After several years of performing, he learnt bass guitar, drum kit, keyboard and harmonica by himself.
Ron is the guitarist of Superimposed Tritonic Motifs(S.T.M.), a Hong Kong indie Jazz Rock band. Fortunately, he was awarded the Best Guitarist in "Our Rock Story 5 Band Competition" in July 2009.
Besides working with his friends, Ron (a.k.a. Ron Elmo), act as a composer & producer, received the Second Runner-Up of the Creativity in Digital Music Awards for an original song, "Demo #3" in November 2008.
