Our team Inner Peace achieved the 5th and 8th place in the cold start track and pooled sequences track of Videolectures.Net Recommender Systems Challenge held in conjunction with ECML-PKDD 2011.

Our team Inner Peace achieved the 3rd place in the rating prediction of KDD Cup 2011 Yahoo! Music Recommendation Challenge.

Our team won the social network track at 2010 Context Aware Movie Reocmmendation Challenge held in conjunction with ACM RecSys 2010.

About Me

I am a PHD student working with Prof. Qiang Yang at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology since 2007. I received my B.Eng and M.Phil. degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. I am expected to graduate in 2011.

My Research

I am interested in all aspects of Artificial Intelligence. Currently, my research focuses on machine learning and data mining with applications to information retrieval. In particular, I am developing novel collaborative filtering algorithms which are the underlying technologies for recommendation services in many electronic commerce and social network based applications.
