Research Interests  AI, and in particular, the principles of knowledge representation, reasoning, and learning and their applications in programming languages, robotics, intelligent agents, data mining, internet, language understanding, e-commerce, etc..

Service Highlights  PC members of IJCAI-2001 and IJCAI-2005. Senior PC member of AAAI-2005. Associate Editor of Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research (JAIR). PC members of KR-1998, KR-2000, KR-2002, KR-2004, KR-2006.

Implemented Systems  Planning system R; A system for compiling causal theories to STRIPS-like systems; A system for computing the strongest necessary and weakest sufficient conditions; A system for computing abduction in logic programs.

Honorary Position  I am adjunct professor of Fuzhou University, China, and an advisor to the Multi-Agent System Lab at the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China
