My Profile

I received the B.Sc. Degree, the M.Sc. Degree and the Ph.D. Degree, all in computer science in 2005, 2007, and 2010, respectively. I am now a teaching associate in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

As a researcher specializes in wireless communications, localization, sensor networks, agent technology and data mining, I have published some research articles focusing on wireless tracking technology and my book, “Introduction to Wireless Localization (With iPhone SDK Examples)” will be published by John Wiley & Sons Singapore Pte. As a teacher, for the last five years I have been responsible for teaching tutorial courses in Data Structures in C++ and Java and E-Commerce. My teaching experience has also involved  computer graphics course that included virtual reality programming in OpenGL language and 3-D design with blender.

On the industrial front, I have also had some experience in managing commercial research projects. I was a system consultant for the Itapoia Group Limited (2007) and PTec Limited (2005). This position involved managing an e-Magazine project with the MingPao One Media Group Limited.

My research interests include wireless communication, localization, fuzzy logic, 3D visualization of tracking system, agent technology and data mining.
