Submission format:

The address, telephone number, FAX number, and e-mail address of the contact author should appear on the title page of the submission. Submissions should be limited to 20 pages (with font size at least 11 pts). Each submission must provide sufficient detail to allow the program committee to assess its merits and should include appropriate references to and comparisons with the literature. It is recommended that each submission begin with a succinct statement of the problem, a summary of the main results, and a brief explanation of their significance and relevance to the conference, all suited for the non-specialist. Technical development of the work, directed to the specialist, should follow. If the authors believe more details are necessary to substantiate the main claims of the paper, they may include a clearly marked appendix to be read at the discretion of the committee.


Demonstrations

Proposals for demonstrations of novel and innovative systems are solicited. Proposals for demos should clearly describe what will be demonstrated and should emphasize the most novel and interesting aspects of the system to be shown.
Prior abstract submission is not required for Demo Proposals, and the authors and their affiliations should be clearly indicated on the top of the submission.

Demo proposals can be up to 5 pages in no smaller than 11pt font. They should be submitted in PDF, postscript, word, or ASCII-text by email to the Demo Committee Chair by 5:00pm PST, Friday, March 1, 2002.

Successful demo proposals will be expected to provide a one page description for the electronic and printed proceedings, by the camera-ready due date (May 20, 2002). Other arrangements necessary to perform the demonstrations, will be made after communication with the Local Demonstrations Chair.
