Atom Semiconductor is currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Application
Engineer Intern. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience, work
on challenging projects, and contribute to cutting-edge innovations. The role of this position is
primarily to characterize precision data convertors, investigate and resolve customers’ issues.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
1. Research and develop new board level circuitry, including schematic and layout
implementation.
2. Optimize complex analog and digital circuits for various applications.
3. Develop characterization plan and implement evaluation/test system.
4. Develop Precision Convertor (ADC/DAC) firmware and host API.
5. Participate in technical evaluations and validations, providing solutions and
recommendations.
This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience, work on
challenging projects. The role of this position is primarily to characterize precision
data convertors/ICs, investigate and resolve technical issues.
Job Requirements:
1. Year 3 students in electronic engineering, computer engineering, computer science
program
2. Available for either a summer and 1-semester internship or a full-year internship
3. Board level analog and digital signal circuit design.
4. MCU/FPGA Firmware development based on C/C++/Verilog
5. Evaluating circuit performance
6. Solid problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
7. Familiar with lab instruments such as DMM, signal source and oscilloscope, network
analyzers, etc
8. Self-motivated, team player and good communication skills
9. Experiences in below are considered a plus:
- Simulation/algorithm development tools (MATLAB, Spice)
- High level languages (LabVIEW, python)
