This is a tough course that involves discrete mathematics
(also called discrete structures), operating systems and computer networks.
Students taking COMP4631 should have the basic knowledge of operating systems and
computer networks.
Students who want to take COMP4631 should be good at
mathematics because cryptography plays with mathematics.
The working load of this course will be heavy (heavy assignments,
quizzes and exam, challenge problems).
