In this talk, we will describe the research topics in WPL (WebDB and P2P Computing Lab).
- Data mining and business intelligence: high-dimensional data clustering, outlier detection, stream data analysis, web querying and searching, data quality and data cleaning, ETL, and OLAP.
- Web data management: XML data storage, XML data exchange and transformation, XML data publishing, Web data integration based on XML, and web services.
- Peer-to-Peer computing: architecture of P2P system, resource location, routing, Web caching, information retrieval and database management based on P2P platform, information security and privacy protection in P2P systems, query processing in P2P systems, view selection in P2P systems, and mining in P2P systems.

About the speakers
Xiaoling Wang received her B.E., M.E. and Ph.D. in computer science, from the Southeast University, China, in 1997, 2000 and 2003, respectively. Her research interests include XML data management, web services and information retrieval. Currently, Xiaoling Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Fudan University, ShangHai, China.
Zhimao Guo received his B.E. in computer science, from Shanghai Jiaotong University in 2000. He is a PhD student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Fudan University. His research topics include XML stream processing and XML data integration.
