Background information
Ted has lived about half of his life in Babylon USA and half in Hong Kong. He graduated from Miami University in 1985 with a B.S. degree in Systems Analysis, and his special interest area was Finance. He moved to Hong Kong in 1987. In Hong Kong, he worked in the IT field for 15 years before retiring in 2002. His experience included software training, documentation, technical support, hardware and software testing, database design and maintenance, Internet publishing, e-commerce, marketing and sales. Now, he does English copy editing, private investing and research and English tutoring.
Ted's parents are very important to him. His father was a certified public accountant (CPA) specializing in taxation and tax planning, he is still a very talented amateur pianist, golfer and gardener, and he has a large social network. Ted's mother was a specialist in educational media. She also has talent and extensive experience in painting, photography, writing, hiking, camping, swimming, and communicating with people of various cultures and economic backgrounds.
Ted's faith, family and friends are also very important to him. He is a follower of Jesus Christ, the creator of the heavens and the earth. Ted is a sinful man, but he regularly confesses his mistakes to God and believes that the blood Jesus shed when He died on the cross was sufficient to atone for his sin. Ted has a Filipina wife and three children who study in local schools, and he tries to spend time to serve them. He also enjoys basketball and golf and sharing meals with friends.
