The appointees will be the research associates/research assistants in the project "A virtual reality social network platform for the global real estate business". The appointees will design and develop the responsive web application using PHP/JQuery/HTML5/CSS/JavaScript; perform usability planning and web site architecture based on user requirement; as well as collaborate with local and offshore (Mainland China) development team on web development, QA, SIT, UAT, and implementation.

Applicants should have a PhD for Research Associate position; an honours degree in computer science, information technology or a related field is required for Research Assistant position. Proficiency in HTML5, PHP, CSS, JS, jQuery, MySQL is a must. Knowledge in web frameworks like AngularJS, Jade, Bower, Yii or CodeIgniter is an advantage. Candidates should also have experience in open source CMS/EShop, e.g. Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, OpenCart, Magento, etc; strong problem-solving skills and be able to navigate within large software packages to identify a problem or a performance issue; proven experience in working independently and capability of learning new environments quickly. Leadership experience is definitely a plus. Excellent communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to present complex technical and product issues to audiences are required.
