Lab Rental Guideline

This guideline is setup for special events, e.g. workshops, external training, which borrow the labs in the department and may generate income.

The lab rental is HK$9,000 per day, HK$5,000 for half day.
The lab rental would include creating local accounts, removable hard disks, disk storage and printing of less than 1,000 pages.
Internet access will be provided if the activity can make use of the existing operating environment of the lab, AND the activity does not involve breaching of system and network security.
If system support is required (such as reconfiguring the lab, reconfiguring the network configuration, .. etc), it will be charged @HK$500 per hour.
Lab charge can be waived or discounted at the discretion of Head of the Department or the Director of the Facilities Committee, if the activity is essential in building or preserving our image in society, or of being a good citizen of the university.
