PhD Graduate Awarded the Prestigious E.W.R. Steacie Fellowships from NSERC

PhD graduate, Prof Jiangchuan LIU, was awarded the prestigious E.W.R. Steacie Fellowships from Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC).

The Fellowships aims at enhancing the career development of outstanding and highly promising university faculty who are earning a strong international reputation for original research. NSERC awards up to six Steacie Fellowships annually. Jiangchuan will spend the next two years investigating how massive media content can be efficiently generated, processed, and distributed among the crowd-sourcers and consumers via the latest social, mobile, and cloud computing and communication platforms. Jiangchuan is currently a professor in Simon Fraser University.
