UG final year student CHEN Qifeng was ranked 22th in round 3 of Google Code Jam 2012. He is invited to compete in the finals in New York, USA in the coming July.

Google Code Jam is an international programming competition hosted and administered by Google. The competition began in 2003 as a means to identify top engineering talent for potential employment at Google. The competition consists of a set of algorithmic problems which must be solved in a fixed amount of time. Competitors may use any programming language and development environment to obtain their solutions. Last year over 30,000 coders competed, but only a Japanese programmer was awarded the championship and a reward of US$10,000. More information about the competition.
