A New Perspective on Pearl River Delta

Computer Science Alumni Association organized an Observation Tour to Guangzhou on April 3, 2004. It is a 1-day-back trip, 11 alumni and executive committee members have joined the tour.

The tour is organized with the following objectives,

  • To observe the current situation of economic development and society in Guangzhou
  • To have a better understanding of the application and management of the IT industry in Guangzhou
  • To strengthen the network between participants

The programme included the visits to Pearl-River Hang Cheong Real Estates Consultant Limited, Approved Mercedes-Benz Service Centre and Sun Yat-Sen University.

The tour is organized by the External Affairs Divisions of CSAA which is headed by Mr. Almon Kwan, Vice-president (External Affairs), and Mr. John Poon, Secretary of International Affairs, is the project manager of the trip. This is the first trip of the year, and more observation trips of similar kind will be organized in the coming months.
