James Tin-Yau KWOK ()

Computer Science and Engineering


Dr. Kwok received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Hong Kong and his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He was a consultant at the Lucent Technologies Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill, New Jersey. He then joined the Department of Computer Science, Hong Kong Baptist University as an Assistant Professor. He returned to the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2000 and is now a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Prof. Kwok served as an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems from 2006-2012, and is currently serving as Associate Editor for the Neurocomputing journal. He is a Governing Board Member of the Asia Pacific Neural Network Society (APNNS).

Applications: Computer vision and image processing, speech processing, pervasive computing
